Panthers Signing WR Russell Shepard To Three-Year Deal

The Carolina Panthers announced that they’ve signed WR Russell Shepard to a three-year deal.

Shepard reportedly had interest from six teams in recent days, including the Lions, Bills and Buccaneers. However, it became clear that the Panthers were he team to beat.

Shepard, 26, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Eagles before he was waived and later claimed by the Buccaneers.

In 2016, Shepard appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and caught 23 passes for 341 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
