Panthers Waive WR Kevin Norwood From Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers officially waived WR Kevin Norwood from injured reserve on Friday.

Norwood, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. He was traded to the Panthers at the start of last season for a 2017 conditional seventh-round pick after Carolina lost Kelvin Benjamin for the season, due to a torn ACL.

The Panthers placed him on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.

Norwood is currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,640,108 rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $600,000, and $690,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2015, Norwood was active for just one game but did not catch a single pass.
