Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Panthers are hosting free agent TE Scott Simonson for a workout on Tuesday.

Simonson, 23, originaly signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Assumption College back May of last year. He was unable to make Oakland’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but later signed on to the team’s practice squad.

The Raiders elected to place him on waivers last week to make room for some new additions.

In 2014, Simonson appeared in four games for the Raiders, but didn’t record a single statistic.
