Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard Receives An Additional 30-Day Jail Sentence

Lori Pilger of the Lincoln Journal Star reports that Judge Stephanie Stacy added 30 days to Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard‘s original 30-day sentence for assaulting a police officer back in 2012 and violating his probation with a DUI arrest.

  • Pilger adds that Dennard has already has served three days of his original sentence, which means he will 35 days with “good time.

Dennard will begin serving his sentence in March of next year and will remain on probation for another year. The judge also sentenced him to an addition 100 hours of community service and added a no-alcohol provision. Dennard will be required to appear in court on Friday for sentencing in his pending DUI case.

Dennard, 24, has appeared in 10 games for the Patriots this season and has 35 tackles, one interception and seven pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has Deenard rated as the No. 30 cornerback in the league with a decent grade of 5.6 on the season.
