The New England Patriots began the process of trimming their roster down to 75 players on Monday by cutting five players.

The list of players either released or placed on waivers includes:

Boyce, 24, is a former foruth-round pick of the Patriots back 2013. However, he lasted just a year in New England before they cut him at the start of the 2014 season. The Pats later signed him to their practice squad.

He was to make a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Boyce was limited to appearing in just one game in which he didn’t record a single statistic.
