Patriots Down To Three Runningbacks

Bill Belichick is know for his large rotation of running-backs but will the recent trade of Laurence Maroney and an injury to Kevin Faulk, the team is now down to only three running-backs.

The current committee consists of Fred Taylor, Sammy Morris and Benjarvus Green-Ellis. The team also had Danny Woodhead who could see some action if needed but may still require some work before he’s ready for game action.

The most recent reports suggest that Faulks knee injury is bad enough that he could be out indefinitely. Belichick offered very little insight as to what the Patriots will do without him.

“We’ll see how things go in the next day or so and based on how that is, then make a decision at that point.”

Faulk has been a huge contribute to the Patriots offense for some time now. His loss may be felt in ways that don’t show up on the stat sheet which is what the has prolonged his career in the NFL.
