Patriots & Falcons Have Shown Some Interest In RB Danny Woodhead

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Patriots and Falcons have shown some interest in free agent RB Danny Woodhead.

Woodhead, 33, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Chadron State back in 2008. He spent over two years in New York before signing on with the Patriots in 2010.

Woodhead finished out his three-year, $7.25 million contract with the Chargers, but his 2016 season, unfortunately, came to an end with him being placed on season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL.

The Ravens signed him to a three-year, $8.8 million contract that included $3.25 million guaranteed last year he was set to make a base salary of $2.55 million for the 2018 season when the Ravens recently released him.

In 2017, Woodhead appeared in eight games for the Ravens and rushed for 56 yards on 14 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 33 receptions for 200 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
