Patriots Haven’t Closed Door On Re-Signing RB Brandon Bolden

Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots haven’t closed the door on re-signing RB Brandon BoldenĀ at some point.

The two parties have reportedly maintained an open dialogue and Reiss wouldn’t be a surprised if Bolden ends up back in New England at some point.

Bolden, 27, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in 2012. He managed to make the 53-man roster in all five of his years in the NFL and returned to the Patriots on a two-year, $2.32 million contract back in 2015.

Bolden is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Bolden appeared in 14 games for the Patriots and rushed for four years on one carry to go along with two receptions for 15 yards receiving. Bolden’s largest contributions came on special teams.
