Patriots Hoping To Get Chandler Jones Back For The Playoffs

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe spoke to a source on Wednesday that mentioned that Patriots are hoping to get DE Chandler Jones back for the postseason.

Jones suffered a hip injury close to a month ago and recent report from Jeff Howe mentioned that his injury could be bad enough to keep him out for the remainder of the 2014 regular season.

Jones, 24, is already among the best pass rushers in the NFL and has recorded 26 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery over the course of seven games.

Pro Football Focus has Jones rated as the No. 9 outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense this year and a well above average pass rusher.

We’ll have more updates regarding his status as the news is available.
