Albert Breer of NFL Media reports that the Patriots hosted free agent C Stefan Wisniewski for a visit this week.

Many expected Wisniewski to be one of the best available interior offensive lineman in this year’s free agent market, but things have really been slow moving for him in recent weeks.

Wisniewski is reportedly recovering from offseason shoulder surgery after playing with a torn labrum last year, which may have impacted his market.

He has visited with the Seahawks and Buccaneers with the Bears, Jaguars, and Rams also coming up as a potential options for Wisniewski .

Wisniewski, 25, has played out his four-year, $4,135,402 rookie contract and is, arguably, the best center still available in this year’s market.

Oakland used a second-round pick on Wisniewski back in 2011 and he has gone on top appear in 61 out of 64 total games. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 1041 snaps this season and rates his as the No. 22 center out of 41 qualifying players.

We have Wisniewski listed as the No. 52 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
