Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Patriots are hosting CB Sherrick McManis for a visit.
- Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jaguars are among the teams interested in McManis.
Biggs reportedly earlier the McManis had interest from an unnamed AFC East team, which is apparently the Patriots.
New England is meeting with a host of players on Thursday, so they’re clearly casting a wide net of potential free agent options.
McManis, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Texans back in 2010. He spent just two years Houston before he was traded to the Bears for Tyler Clutts.
The Bears elected to bring him back on a one-year contract last year.
In 2015, McManis appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 29 tackles while contributing on special teams.
