Free Agent DL Lawrence Guy Still In New England But Has Other Visits Planned

According to Jason La Canfora, free agent DL Lawrence Guy is still meeting with the Patriots on Saturday but has visits with other teams planned.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Patriots are bringing in free agent DL Lawrence Guy for a visit at some point in the near future.

The Washington Post previously reported that the Redskins have expressed interest in Guy.

Guy, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Packers back in 2011. He lasted just over a year in Green Bay before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season. Guy was signed off of the Packers’ practice squad by the Colts and he spent a year with Indianapolis before he was claimed off of waivers during the 2013 season by the Chargers.

The Ravens eventually claimed him from San Diego and signed him to a two-year contract in 2015.

In 2016, Guy appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 29 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and a recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 interior defender out of 127 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
