Patriots Re-Sign WR Corey Coleman To Practice Squad

According to Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have re-signed WR Corey Coleman to their practice squad on Wednesday.

  • Mike Garafolo reported earlier in the day that the Patriots were interested in re-signing Coleman to their practice squad.

Coleman, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $11.654 million contract and set to make base salaries of $1.5 million and $2 million over the next two years of the agreement when he was traded to the Bills for a 2020 seventh-round pick.

Unfortunately, the Bills elected to waive him coming out of the preseason. Coleman signed on with the Patriots last week but was just recently cut loose.

In 2017, Coleman appeared in nine games and caught 23 passes for 305 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 83 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
