Patriots & DE Rob Ninkovich Agree On Three-Year Extension

Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston reports the New England Patriots and DE Rob Ninkovich have have reached an agreement on a contract extension that will keep him under team control through the 2016 season.

Ninkovich , 29, was entering the final year of his contract. While having been signed as an outside linebacker, Ninkovich was converted into a defensive end last season and ended up leading the team with eight sacks and five forced fumbles.

Ninkovich been one of the league’s most underrated players, so this is a well deserved contract. We’ll have more regarding the specifics of his contract.
