Patriots LT Nate Solder Out For Season With Biceps Tear

Jim McBride of the Boston Globe reports that Patriots left tackle Nate Solder will miss the rest of the season with a torn right biceps.

  • McBride adds that Solder’s injury will require surgery.

Solder was scheduled to undergo have an MRI on Monday after he sustained an injury during the Patriots’ Week 5 win over the Cowboys.

Solder, 27, signed a three-year, $28.02 million contract extension that included $19.938 million guaranteed with the Patriots at the start of the season. He stands to make a base salary of $7.4 million for the 2015 season.

This season, Solder had appeared in four games for the Patriots and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 42 offensive tackle out of 76 players.
