Patriots Meet With CB Tarell Brown

According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots have met with free agent veteran CB Tarell Brown on Tuesday.

  • The Patriots held a work out for Brown back in March, making this the second time the two parties have met.

The Patriots have seen the departures to three of their top four cornerbacks this offseason in Darrelle Revis, Brandon Brownerand Kyle ArringtonOnce more, Chimdi Chekwa saw himself get released from New England on Monday.

Brown, 30,  appeared in 14 games and accounted for 1,000 total snaps for the Oakland Raiders last season. He accumulated 55 total tackles, had four pass defenses, and ranked as the No. 75 of 108 possible qualifiers by Pro Football Focus.

New England has already added a veteran cornerback in Bradley Fletcher this offseason. If signed, the ninth-year professional will be the most experienced corner on the roster.
