Mohamed Sanu Visiting Falcons Tonight, Then Meeting With Patriots

Josina Anderson spoke to free agent WR Mohamed Sanu, who said that he plans to meet with the Falcons tonight and then travel to visit with the Patriots.

Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Falcons are bringing in WR Mohamed Sanu for a visit as early as tonight. The two parties could reach an agreement during the meeting.

  • Dianna Marie Russini reports that Sanu is headed to Atlanta to sign a deal that would pay him over $7 million per year with the Falcons.

Jason Cole of B/R reports that the market for Bengals free agent WR Mohamed Sanu. currently includes Giants, Patriots, Falcons, Cowboys, Redskins, and Buccaneers.

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that there’s mutual interest between the Patriots and the Bengals free agent WR Mohamed Sanu.

A recent report also mentioned that the Patriots have shown some interest in Dolphins free agent WR Rishard Matthews, so they’re clearly in the market for receiver help.

Sanu, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. He too has played out his rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming days.

In 2015, Sanu appeared in all 16 games and caught 33 passes for 394 yards receiving to go along with 71 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
