Patriots Pick Up 2018 Option On WR Kenny Britt

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots have informed veteran WR Kenny Britt that they’ve picked up his option for the 2018 season.

Britt, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2009. He spent five years in Tennessee before signing on with the Rams in 2014.

The Browns signed Britt to a four-year, $32.5 million deal back in March of last year before waiving him in December. The Patriots later signed him to a two-year contract that included a 2018 team option.

In 2017, Britt appeared in 12 games for the Browns and Patriots and caught 20 passes for 256 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
