The New England Patriots have placed LB Harvey Langi on the non-football injury list Wednesday.
Last week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that the injuries sustained by Langi after he was involved in a recent car accident make it unlikely he’ll play this season, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Langi, 25, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract and is set to make a base salary of $465,000 this season.
So far this season, Langi has appeared in one game and recorded one tackle.
During his three-year college career with BYU, Langi recorded 137 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, three pass defenses, and one forced fumble.
We’ll have more regarding Langi as the news is available.
