Patriots Place Rookie DL Dominique Easley On Season-Ending I.R.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots are placing first-round pick DL Dominique Easley on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday.

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported last week that this move could be coming as it would be a way for them to hit the “reset button” on their young defensive lineman and protect their investment.

During his final year at Florida, Easley suffered a torn right ACL and has reportedly been playing catch-up all season.

Easley, 22, has been limited to appearing 11 games this season and recording 9 tackles, one sack, and an interception. This season, Easley has played a total of 270 snaps and has a poor rating of -4.1, according to Pro Football Focus.
