Patriots Place TE Jacob Hollister On IR, Promote TE Stephen Anderson

The New England Patriots announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Jacob Hollister on injured reserve and promoted TE Stephen Anderson to their active roster.

  • The Patriots also signed DB A.J. Howard and OL Dan Skipper to their practice squad.

Hollister, 25, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming back in 2017. He agreed to a three-year, $1.66 million contract and has made the 53-man roster in each of his first two seasons in the NFL.

Hollister stands to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2020.

In 2018, Hollister appeared in eight games for the Patriots and caught four passes for 52 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
