Patriots Place TE Jake Bequette On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The New England Patriots announced Friday that they have placed TE Jake Bequette on Injured Reserve after clearing waivers.

Bequette, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. The Patriots elected to waive Bequette at the start of the 2014 season, but later added him to their practice squad. New England elected to sign Bequette to a future/reserve contract back in February.

The Patriots made several moves on Thursday including waiving/injured Bequette in an attempt to get him on their injured reserve list.

Bequette has appeared in a total of eight games for the Patriots, but has yet to record a single statistic.
