Patriots Placed G Chase Farris On Non-Football Injury After Clearing Waivers

The New England Patriots officially placed G Chase Farris on the non-football injury list after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Farris, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of last year. He was unfortunately waived during the final week of the preseason before later signing on to Detroit’s practice squad.

The Lions cut Farris loose a few weeks later and he was one and off of the Patriots’ practice squad throughout the year. New England brought Farris back on a future/reserve contract this past February but waived him with a non-football injury designation earlier this week.

Farris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
