ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots have promoted LB Kevin Snyder to their active roster.

Snyder, 23, originally signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in May of last year. He was waived with the injury designation during the preseason before reverting to injured reserve a few days later.

After being granted his release, Snyder signed on to the 49ers’ practice squad, but his stay in San Francisco lasted just a week. The Patriots later signed him to their taxi squad in December.

Snyder has yet to appear in an NFL game.
