Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots are expected to promote OL Chris Barker to their 53-man roster on Saturday.
Barker, 25, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada in May of 2013. However, he was unable to make the final 53-man roster and was placed on waivers at the start of the 2013 season.
New England later claimed him off of waivers and he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad since then.
Barker appeared in one game for the Patriots last season, but has yet to be active for a single game this year.
