Patriots RB Shane Vereen Will Be Active For Monday Night’s Game

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Patriots RB Shane Vereen will be active for Monday Night’s game and will be eased into their offense.

Vereen has been sidelined for over two months following wrist injury that required surgery and forced the Patriots to place him to injured reserve with the designation to return.

Earlier this season, Vereen looked like a dynamic weapon in New England’s offense, but he only managed to play in one game. He finished that game with 14 carries for 101 yards (7.2 per carry) to go along with seven receptions for another 58 yards receiving.

The Panthers defense provides a tough test for the Patriots, so it will be interesting to see how they distribute snaps between Stevan Ridley, LeGarrette BlountBrandon Bolden and Vereen.
