Patriots RB Stevan Ridley Out For The Season With Torn ACL & MCL

Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that Patriots RB Stevan Ridley wound up tearing both his ACL and MCL during Sunday’s win over the Bills.

You have to feel for Ridley as he’s in the final year of his rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next year. This major knee injury will definitely have a big impact on his market.

The Patriots are expected to move forward with Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden handling the workload in the coming weeks. However, there has been some talk that rookie RB James White could be worked in the mix as well.

Ridley, 25, finishes the 2014 season with 340 yards rushing on 94 carries (3.6 YPC) and two touchdowns. He also contributed four receptions for 20 yards receiving.
