Patriots Re-Sign ERFAs DB Justin Coleman & S Brandon King

The New England Patriots announced that they’ve officially re-signed exclusive rights free agents DB Justin Coleman and S Brandon King on Tuesday.

Coleman, 23, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted out of Tennessee a few months ago. However, he was unfortunately placed on waivers at end of the preseason.

The Patriots later signed him to a contract, but he also wound up being among their roster cuts from last week. After a brief stint with the Seahawks, Coleman returned to the Patriots a week into the season.

In 2015, Coleman appeared in 10 games for the Patriots and recorded 21 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and five pass defenses.

King, 22, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of last year. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts, but was later signed to their practice squad at start of the season.

New England promoted him to their active roster in October.

In 2015, King appeared in 13 games and recorded 12 tackles, no interceptions and a forced fumble.
