Patriots Re-Sign Rookie LB James Morris

The Patriots have re-signed rookie LB James Morris, according to his father, Gary Morris.

“We’re extremely happy,” Greg Morris said, via HawkCentral.com. “James has gotten through his medical issues and he now has the opportunity that he’s been looking for.”

Morris signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa, but as his father said, he had a “medical issue” that led to New England releasing him after just a few days with the team.

Morris was a highly productive player for the Hawkeyes as he recorded 399 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, six interceptions, and three forced fumbles over the course of his four years.
