The New England Patriots officially released LB Dekoda Watson on Wednesday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Watson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signings on with the Jaguars in March of last year.
Jacksonville wound up releasing him in November, but the Cowboys signed him to a contract just a few days later. Dallas ultimately elected to part ways with Watson back in May.
The Patriots wound up signing him to a contract a week later, only to release him at the end of August. However, they signed him to their active roster just a few weeks ago.
This season, Watson has appeared in two games and recorded a single tackle for the Patriots.
