Patriots Release RB Travaris Cadet

The New England Patriots announced Tuesday that they have released RB Travaris Cadet to make room for LB Jon Bostic, who was acquired in a trade with the Bears.

Cadet, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was allowed to test the open market this past March.

The Patriots wound up signing him to a two-year contract worth  $1.75 million contract and included a $65,000 signing bonus.

This season, Cadet was active for one game and caught one pass for two yards receiving.
