Patriots S Adrian Wilson announced via his Twitter account that he has been informed of his release Friday.
Thankyou to the Patriots organization for the opportunity. I look forward to the future.

There was talk that Wilson could be on the chopping block this offseason, so this move really doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
Wilson, 34, signed a three-year deal worth $5 million that included a $1 million signing bonus with the Patriots last year. However, the former Cardinal spent the entire season on injured reserve following an Achilles injury.
The Patriots cut Wilson loose back in early April and hasn’t found any reported interest before the Bears signed him to a contract.
