Patriots Rework WR Danny Amendola’s Contract To Keep Him In New England

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Patriots have restructured WR Danny Amendola‘s contract, which will keep him with the team in 2015.

  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Amendola’s new deal is a three-year contract worth $12.75 million and can max out at $15 million.

Amendola, 29, had another three years remaining on his original five-year, $28.5 million contract that includes contains $10 million guaranteed. He would have made base salaries of $4 million (2015), $5 million (2016), and $6 million (2017) over the remainder of the agreement.

In 2014, Amendola appeared in all 16 games and caught 27 passes for 200 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Patriots. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 93 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
