Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Patriots have restructured WR Danny Amendola‘s contract, which will keep him with the team in 2015.
- ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Amendola’s new deal is a three-year contract worth $12.75 million and can max out at $15 million.
Amendola, 29, had another three years remaining on his original five-year, $28.5 million contract that includes contains $10 million guaranteed. He would have made base salaries of $4 million (2015), $5 million (2016), and $6 million (2017) over the remainder of the agreement.
In 2014, Amendola appeared in all 16 games and caught 27 passes for 200 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Patriots. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 93 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
