Patriots RB Sony Michel (Knee) Considered Week To Week, No Structural Damage

Adam Schefter reports that Sony Michel has no structural damage to his knee and is considered week to week moving forward.


Ian Rapoport reports that an MRI on Patriots RB Sony Michel’s knee came back and showed that the issues is “not considered serious,” but he’s still expected to miss some time.


A source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN of Patriots RB Sony Michel’s knee injury: “Expect it will be a little bit but not overly serious. Won’t know until they look at it Monday.”


Patriots rookie RB Sony Michel was taken to the locker room during Sunday’s game against the Bears with a knee injury.

Michel’s left leg got twisted badly as he was tackled by a Bears’ defender.

Michel, 23, was taken with the No. 31 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Patriots. According to OverTheCap.com, he receives a four-year, $9,626,694 contract that includes a $5,081,232 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Patriots to pick up in 2021.

Entering today’s game, Michel had appeared in five games for the Patriots and rushed for 400 yards on 91 carries (4.4 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 18 yards receiving and four total touchdowns.
