We’re tracking the Patriots’ roster cuts as they get their roster down to 53 players by this afternoon’s deadline right here.
The Patriots have either released or waived:
- CB Robert McClain
- QB Ryan Lindley
- WR DaVaris Daniels
- WR Zach D’Orazio
- RB Tony Creecy
- OG Ryan Groy
- TE Jake Bequette
- OL Caylin Hauptmann
- OT Chris Martin
- LB James Morris
- DL Casey Walker
- DL A.J. Pataiali’i
The New England Patriots began the process of cutting their roster down to 53 players on Friday and ahead of tomorrows deadline.
Groy, 24, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in May of last year and appeared in four games for the Bears.
The Patriots wound up trading sixth-round LB Matthew Wells to the Bears in return for Groy, so his time with the team was very brief.
Bequette, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. The Patriots elected to waive Bequette at the start of the 2014 season, but later added him to their practice squad.
The Patriots cut him loose a few weeks ago, but he later reverted to their injured reserve list after going unclaimed.
Bequette has appeared in a total of eight games for the Patriots, but has yet to record a single statistic.
