Patriots RT Sebastien Vollmer Undergoing Surgery To Repair Broken Leg

Karen Guregian reports that Patriots RT Sebastien Vollmer is undergoing surgery Monday to repair broken bone in his right leg.

Vollmer suffered the injury during Sunday’s win over the Dolphins when he got rolled up on. Vollmer was down for a good period of time and was clearly in a great deal of pain. Patriots doctors placed an air cast on his leg before taking him off the field.

Vollmer, 29, was rated as the No. 8 offensive tackle in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. He signed a four-year, $17 million contract that includes $8.25 million guaranteed back in March. Marcus Cannon will likely be asked to replace him at right tackle moving forward.
