Patriots Sign CB E.J. Biggers To A One-Year, $840K Deal

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reports that the Patriots have signed CB E.J. Biggers to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

  • Volin adds that Biggers receives a one-year, $840,000 deal from the Patriots with $25,000 guaranteed.
  • According to Volin, the contracts breaks down to a $760,000 base salary, $30,000 in per-game bonuses, and a $25,000 reporting bonus.

Biggers, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2009. He finished out his rookie contract with the Buccaneers and later caught on with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent in March of 2013.

Biggers lasted just a year in Washington before signing a one-year agreement with the Eagles in 2015.

In 2015, Biggers appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 44 tackles, no interceptions and seven pass defenses.
