Patriots Sign DT Markus Kuhn

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have signed DT Markus Kuhn to a contract on Thursday.

  • Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants offered Kuhn a contract to return.

Kuhn said goodbye to the Giants on his Instagram account earlier in the day.

“I couldn’t be more happy about my time here and I’ll definitely miss that place with all the great people in this building. Good byes are never fun, even if they’re just a see you later. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. It’s time to move on and I couldn’t be more excited where life is taking me next.

Kuhn, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Giants back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Giants before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

In 2015, Kuhn appeared in 10 games for the Giants and recorded 20 tackles, a half sack and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 116 interior defensive lineman out of 123 qualifying players.
