Patriots Sign First-Round Pick DL Dominique Easley

The Patriots announced the signing of first-round pick DL Dominique Easley on Monday.

New England now has their entire nine-man draft class under contract following this move.

Easley’s four-year contract is worth an estimated $7,303,546 which includes a signing bonus of $3,631,672 , according to OverTheCap.com.

Easley has torn both ACL’s in non-contact injuries — the left one in 2011 and the right one last September. As a result, Easley has not played much football in the last few years, but when he’s made it on the field he is an impact player.

He is undersized, but has that rare ability to generate pressure up the middle. He is explosive off the snap and can be highly disruptive.

Easley has declared himself healthy and could prove to be a huge addition to the Patriots defensive line in the coming years, assuming his knees don’t become concerns moving forward.
