Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the New England Patriots will sign veteran G Brian Waters following a visit with the team on Saturday. Schefter adds that the deal is for two-years and possibly$5.5 million.
By signing Waters, they will have guaranteed his 2011 salary which is likely in response to some of the injuries that they’re dealing with up front. Waters is a former Pro Bowl offensive lineman that hasn’t drawn much interest up until this point but could end up being a big contributor for the Patriots depending on the severity of their injuries.
