Doug Kyed reports that the New England Patriots have signed G Chase Farris to their practice squad on Wednesday and waived LB Quentin Gause from the unit.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Bishop Sankey
- G Chris Barker
- DE Geneo Grissom
- DT Woodrow Hamilton
- WR Devin Lucien
- S Vinnie Sunseri
- G Chase Farris
- WR DeAndrew White
- DT Anthony Johnson
- FB Glenn Gronkowski
Farris was clearly on the Patriots’ radar, as he worked out for the team last week.
Farris, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May. He was unfortunately waived during the final week of the preseason before later signing on to Detroit’s practice squad.
The Lions cut Farris loose a few weeks later.
