Patriots Sign LB Dekoda Watson, Add LB Eric Martin To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots have signed LB Dekoda Watson to their 53-man roster on Wednesday and added LB Eric Martin to their practice squad, per Ben Volin.

Watson was among the team’s workouts this week, which also included WR Terrelle Pryor, WR Evan Spencer and DL Joe Vellano.

Watson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signings on with the Jaguars in March of last year.

Jacksonville wound up releasing him in November, but the Cowboys signed him to a contract just a few days later. Dallas ultimately elected to part ways with Watson back in May.

The Patriots wound up signing him to a contract a week later, only to release him at the end of August.

In 2014, Watson appeared in 10 games and recorded 14 tackles for the Jaguars and Cowboys.
