Patriots Sign S Vinnie Sunseri & DB Mike Hilton To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots have signed DB Mike Hilton and S Vinnie Sunseri to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to Doug Kyed.

Here’s the Patriots’ full practice squad as of now:

  1. RB Bishop Sankey
  2. G Chris Barker
  3. T Clay DeBord
  4. DE Geneo Grissom
  5. DT Woodrow Hamilton
  6. DE Rufus Johnson
  7. WR Devin Lucien
  8. WR Devin Street
  9. Vinnie Sunseri
  10. DB Mike Hilton

Sunseri, 22, was taken in the fifth-round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Saints. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,396,500 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $600,000 when the Saints placed him on waivers back on April 25.

In 2015, Sunseri was unfortunately waived with the injury designation after he suffered an ACL injury, and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list where he remained for the entire season.

The Patriots signed Sunseri to a contract in July before cutting him loose last week.

During his rookie season, Sunseri appeared in nine games for the Saints and recorded five tackles and no interceptions.

Hilton, 22, wound up signing on with the Jagaurs as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in May. He was unfortunately among their roster cuts last week.
