Patriots Sign TE Bear Pascoe & G Jon Halapio

The New England Patriots have signed TE Bear Pascoe and G Jon Halapio to contracts on Wednesday, according to Doug Kyed.

Pascoe, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2009. He spent a number of year with the Giants before signing a one-year contract with the Falcons last year.

The Bears elected to sign him to a one-year contract last year, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts. The Lions later signed him to a contract in December and he wound up finishing out the year in Detroit.

In 2015, Pascoe appeared in three games for the Lions, but did post a single statistic.

Halapio, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2014. He was unfortunately unable to make the Pats’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later placed on waivers.

The Broncos would later sign him to a future/reserve deal, but waived him just a few weeks after last year’s draft. The Cardinals signed him to a contract last summer, but they too cut him loose just a few months later.

Halapio has yet to appear in an NFL game.
