Patriots Sign WR Deion Branch

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports that the New England Patriots have brought back their long-time WR Deion Branch.

This comes shortly after the Patriots made the decision to waive WR Greg Salas, RB Lex Hilliard and LB Mike Rivera. New England had said previously that they had Branch on their short-list of players that would sign if needed. It’s hard to imagine him having a huge role in the team’s offense, despite the recent loss of TE Aaron Hernandez.
