Patriots Sign WR Keshawn Martin To A Two-Year, $3M Extension

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have signed WR Keshawn Martin to a two-year contract extension worth $3 million.

  • Martin will now be under team control through the 2017 season.

Martin, 25, is a former fourth round pick of the Texans back in 2012. He spent just over three years in Houston before he was traded to the Patriots a few weeks into the regular season.

He was in the final years of his four-year, $2,512,560 rookie contract and made a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2015, Martin appeared in just nine games and catching 24 passes for 269 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 257 kick return yards.
