Patriots Sign WR Shaq Evans To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots have signed WR Shaq Evans to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to Doug Kyed.

The Patriots will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:

  1. RB Bishop Sankey
  2. G Chris Barker
  3. DE Geneo Grissom
  4. WR Devin Lucien
  5. Vinnie Sunseri
  6. WR DeAndrew White
  7. DT Anthony Johnson
  8. FB Glenn Gronkowski
  9. G Chase Farris
  10. G Ian Silberman

Evans, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. However, he unfortunately missed his rookie season due to a shoulder injury and was later waived at the start of last year.

The Jaguars signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the 2015 season and brought him back on a future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, Evans was among the Jaguars roster cuts coming out of the preseason but later signed on to their practice squad.

Jacksonville cut him loose a few weeks later.

Evans has yet to appear in an NFL game.
