Patriots Signed Sixth-Round OT Conor McDermott

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have signed sixth-round OT Conor McDermott to a four-year contract.

This is the first rookie signing for the Patriots from their 2017 draft class.

McDermott, 24, was selected with the No. 211 overall pick by the Patriots in this year’s NFL Draft.

According to OverTheCap.com, McDermott will receive a four-year contract worth $2,535,028 that includes a signing bonus of $135,028.

During his college career at UCLA, McDermott started 32 games and even saw some time at tight end, so he is an athletic offensive lineman. He was was a second-team All-Pac 12 during his junior and senior years.
