Patriots Signing LB Kyle Van Noy To Two-Year Extension

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Patriots and LB Kyle Van Noy have agreed to a two-year extension on Friday.

Jason La Canfora just reported that the Patriots were working on a new deal for Van Noy and it appears they were able to finalize the remaining details and reach an agreement in principle.

Van Noy, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $5.1 million contract and set to make a base salary of $990,741 for the 2017 season.

The Lions traded Van Noy to the Patriots in October of last year for a sixth-round pick.

Van Noy was in line to be an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Van Noy has appeared in one game and recorded six tackles and no sacks for the Patriots.
