Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez “Trying To Make It Back” For Week 4

Gary Dzen of the Boston Globe reports that Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez is doing his best to work his way back from a sprained MCL in his left knee  that he suffered in week 2’s game against the Chargers.

I’m feeling good, man,” said Hernandez. “I just take it day by day and work with the trainers and try to get back as soon as possible.”

Hernandez offered a bit of a time table for his return when was asked about fantasy football.

I haven’t heard much about the fantasy football,” he said. “Not really worried about fantasy football, just trying to get back and get healthy and trying to make it back for this week.

The Patriots looked as if they missed Hernandez last weekend against the Bills as they were forced to target other options like Chad Ochocinco who wound up dropping an important pass in the game. The combination of Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski has been unstoppable so far which adds a good deal of anticipation for his return.
